The 5th Chapter of DELHI INTERNATIONAL ARTS FESTIVAL starts form Oct 31st with more than 2000 artists from 28 Countries performing across 25 locations in the city bringing an enormous variety and diversity to the platform. The opening ceremony will be an International Tribute to Tagore held at the Purana Quila.
Some of the acclaimed performances are:
Colombian musician Cesar Lopez, an Indo-French contemporary dance festival “DanSe Dialogues,” Farruquito the renowned Italian Flamenco dancer, Korean traditional dances performance by Son Kyung Soon and his group Yeajeon Dance Company, Prashna Panchali by noted author Sunita Budhiraja, the Italian Opera based on a theme similar to Cinderella, Mindwalking theatre drama by acclaimed playwright Tanika Gupta and many more.
This year DIAF 2011 has come out with a special initiative – A Colloquium which will make India International Centre a hub for artists, audiences and media to interact and discuss their performances during day. The festival will receive artistes from Spain, Italy, France, Korea, Colombia, Hungary, Peru, Uruguay, Argentina and many other countries.
