RAMAYANA dance drama directed and choreographed by Pandit S.N. Charka features dramatic scenes from the great epic of ancient India, which portrays the eternal battle between good and evil. The Ramayana production originally inspired by Brahmananda Sarasvati has been a highlight since the early 1980s. A new musical score by composer Shankar Shambhouge, new choreography and new costumes elevate the charm of this year’s production. Created with the efforts of both American and Indian dancers, actors and technical staff, it is presented as a spectacular multimedia pageant at the ashram’s outdoor amphitheater. Bring blankets and warm clothing for outdoor performance.
