The Kathak Ensemble & Friends present Summer Dance 2015, THE ART OF THE TAWAIF & THE TEN DANCING PRINCESSES. The Ensemble presents repertoire from the Lucknow darbar and mehfil - the court and intimate gatherings. This year's 2pm performance also includes the Ensemble's own version of the Brothers Grimm's fairy tale "The Twelve Dancing Princesses." The Ensemble’s Ten Dancing Princesses, aged 4 to 8 years, perform Kathak and are costumed in Lucknow style.
