NCPA presents A TRIBUTE TO EXCELLENCE - THE ARTISTRY OF MALAVIKA SARUKKAI.
- Jan 9: Punar Drishyam - a retrospective of Malavika Sarukkai’s choreographies. This evening will showcase the depth and richness of Malavika’s path breaking repertoire – with each choreography uniquely interpreted, marking her individualistic style of dance, often described as dynamic meditation.
At: Fine Arts Society, Chembur
- Jan 11: Screening of THE UNSEEN SEQUENCE, a film by Sumantra Ghosal . Both Malavika and Sumantra will engage in an interactive session with the audience after the screening. Free event.
At: NCPA’s Little Theatre, 6.30pm.
- Jan 16: VAMATARA-TO THE LIGHT, The concept rests on the plural representations of the lotus as seen in Indian art. This production features her solo choreographies, and includes, for the first time, group choreography.
At: NCPA’s Jamshed Baba Theatre, 6.30pm
- Jan 17: Master class by Malavika Sarukkai
