An Afternoon with Caferati
What you can read
Fiction, poetry, essays, scripts, screen scenarios—anything that can be read aloud—in English, and within the time limits set (ten minutes per person, broken up into eight minutes for your reading, and two minutes for questions and critiquing by other members).
Work in other languages may be permitted, at the discretion of the moderator, but must be accompanied by an English translation.
Priority will be given to new voices. We also invite Caferati members from other cities to mail in work that can be read for them by someone present, but only if time permits. Those present always get top priority.
Email what you plan to read to Mathew at [mathew.p.joseph AT gmail DOT com] by 5th October, 2007, so that a basic programme can be set. Pieces not mailed in will not be read. (If you’re nervous about reading your own work, let the moderator know, and we’ll get someone else to read for you.)
There will be a small charge, equally shared by all present, to cover expenses on snacks, coffee, seating, etc.
Please be considerate to the coordinator, who will be spending time and money to make arrangements, by confirming your attendance by 5th October, 2007.
