In celebration of India’s autumnal festivities, Surati for Performing Arts presents excerpts from its stage production of Tyohaar, which focuses on Diwali, also called the “festival of lights,” and other holidays around the same time. The ensemble, led by Rimli Roy, presents a showcase of drama, music and dance, using classical, folk, and creative-based choreography, to offer a glimpse into the historical background of these festivals and insight into the cultural heritage of India.
