Tejendra Narayan Majumdar has established himself as the most accomplished sarod player of the younger generation. Initially he was the product of the Late Ustad Bahadur Khan of the Maihar Gharana but since his death several years ago he has been under the direct and able guidance of the legendary Ustad Ali Akbar Khan Sahab and is today the finest representative of the Maihar Gharana after the legendary Ustad. It is indeed a treat to listen to him. Today he is justifiably regarded as one of the major artists of the Indian tradition internationally, having participated in practically all the major music festivals of the world.
Nitin Mitta is a prominent young tabla player of his generation. Born in Hyderabad in 1975, and brought up there,over the years he has matured into a tabla player of rare technical virtuosity and sensitivity. He has performed worldwide with some of India's most celebrated musicians. Nitin's accompaniment – at once dexterous, supportive and spontaneously inventive - has won him the admiration of music lovers and connoisseurs at an international level.
