About the speaker:
Amitabh Chaudhry took charge of Infosys BPO as the Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director in March 2006. Under his leadership, revenues rose from 85 MUSD in FY 06 to 148 MUSD in FY 07, recording a spectacular 72 % YoY growth, making Infosys BPO –the fastest growing company in this landscape and also the most profitable.
With Amitabh at the helm of affairs, the Company has been internationally recognized as One of the World’s top BPO Companies by International Association of Outsourcing Professional (June 2006), Country’s Second Most respected Company by Business World (April 2007), Amongst the Top Ten by Everest and The Wall Street Journal to name a few of them.
Amitabh is actively involved with leading industry forums like Nasscom (National Association of Software and Services Companies in India), Gartner and Forrester to build thought leadership in the outsourcing space.
He has over 17 years of experience and was last with Credit Lyonnais Securities in Singapore as head of the investment banking franchise for South East Asia and structured finance practice for Asia. Prior to that, he was with Bank of America as Head of Technology Investment Banking - Asia, Regional Finance Head for Wholesale Banking and Global Markets, and Chief Finance Officer, India.
