The theme of this edition is “Dev Anand-Romancing with Life.” The music programme, which will take place on February 16, 7 p.m. at Kamaraj Arangam, Teynampet, will cover Hindi film hits from 1940 to 1979. The objective of the event, conducted by the Divine Mother Society, is to raise funds for its social service projects in Chennai in the areas of health care and education. The legendary Dev Anand will be the guest of honour and will be felicitated for his contribution to Hindi cinema. The programme will feature hits of Mohammed Rafi, Hemant Kumar, Talat Mehmood, Kishore Kumar, Asha Bhonsle, Geeta Dutt and Suraiya and they will be rendered by Anil Bajpai, Vinod Seshadri and Shailaja from Mumbai, Surojit Guha from Bangalore and Anita Santhanam from Chennai. Orchestral support will be provided by Evergreen from Kozhikode.
