IACA(India American Cultural Association), an umbrella organization for the Indian community in Atlanta for over 37 years, is pleased inform you about its plans to build an “India Center” in its 10 acre facility in Smyrna. Festival of India, held on Saturday, August 16th in Gwinnett Center, has been a signature event of IACA in bringing Indian Americans together irrespective of their region, religion, language and economic status. The new India center is expected to become a second home for the Indians in Atlanta by offering a place to learn about India’s culture and heritage. The Center, equipped with an auditorium and a banquet facility, will be available for graduation ceremonies, marriage ceremonies and other events as a commercial facility.

The producers of “Blind Ambition”, a movie yet to be released in theaters, have agreed to hold the Atlanta Premiere and donate the proceeds to the India Center Project. The movie is the story of Sapna Shah, a pretty, smart, fun loving teenager blind girl who is all about celebrating life despite legally blind. Sapna aspires to run a marathon as a tribute to the memory of her late mother. The screening of the film will be at 4.00 p.m. on Saturday, September 27th, at the Peachtree Corners 8 Cinemas (6135B Peachtree Parkway, Norcross, GA 30092 – (770)448-7002. It will be followed by a dinner banquet at 6.30 p.m. in the Palace Restaurant (770-840-7770). Producer Director Bala Raja Sekharuni, Marketing Director Ron Lavery and Michelle Massey (lead role) will be present at the Banquet
