Critic's Rating: Revised from to 1.5, based on popular feedbackCast: Bhoop Yaduvanshi, Prashant Narayanan, Yuvika Chaudhary, Madhurima TuliDirection: Akashaditya LamaGenre: ThrillerDuration: 2 hours 20 minutes.
Story: A rowdy brat from Kanpur goes to Goa and falls in love with an arrogant girl. She too loves him back but their love puts the Kanpuriya in trouble as he gets wrongly accused for committing a murder.
Movie Review: Cigarette Ki Tarah is an unintelligent thriller which looks like a wannabe Bhatt camp film. It's inspired by Jism and Kalyug, just that this one's painfully silly.
Nikhil Dabur from Kanpur ( Bhoop Yaduvanshi) loves to hate his alcohol-addicted father and ogle at skimpily clad girls. In spite of his bad jokes, loud wannabe personality, beer addiction and lecherous gaze, he has a good friend in the form of Kanishka ( Yuvika Chaudhary). Kanishka loves Nikhil, so she calls him to Goa and even gives him a job. Nikhil, however, prefers bad girls.
So he falls for an 'arrogant' Jessica (Madhurima Tuli). Jay-Si-Ca, as he calls her, calls Nikhil 'genuine idiot' and 'very irritating' (and we agree) but he chases her until she starts finding him interesting. The two get drunk, get intimate and even discuss marriage the next day but Nikhil finds himself in deep trouble as a 'murder' changes everything. Who is the culprit?
Cigarette Ki Tarah is unintentionally funny and fascinating for everything defies logic.
