Synopsis: Kumaresan (Ashok) makes his living by selling chickens, while Thulasi ( Shija Rose) is the daughter of a rich man. They fall in love, but problems arise in the form of Thulasi's uncle Ayyanar (Bose Venkat).

Movie Review: Rich girl and poor man fall in love and want to get married, but their families are opposed to the relationship. So what is new? Nothing. If the villain of the piece is not the girl's father or mother, it is her uncle or someone from the man's family. The audience would have seen the same premise in countless Tamil films earlier but some directors persist in dishing out the same old fare, even though others have moved on and are exploring new ideas and storylines in movies such as Pizza or Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom.

It is only thanks to the work put in by the lead pair and character actor Bose Venkat that there is some interest in the proceedings, though the characters and situations are fairly predictable. In fact, it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to say that this movie belongs to the era in which its namesake, starring Prabhu, Viji and Silk Smitha,
