It's an English movie set in Hyderabad. In the thick of things are four movie loving preadolescents - Ravi, Onkar, Hamid -who fancy the same Bollywood diva - Chand Ray. They are thrilled to know that Chand Ray is going to be in the city for a film festival and vow to sneak in to catch a glimpse of her. When coming back from school one day - contemplating how to sneak into the film festival - they stumble upon a hand bag that falls off a moving vehicle. To their surprise they find a professional camera. The movie buffs that they are, decide to make a movie of their own and dedicate it to her. They have two problems though -they need to return the camera in seven days after which their final exams begin.
The film's narrator is 10-year-old Ravi (Teja), a typical upper-middle-class kid. A class topper, he is obedient, works hard at school and even harder at home. His friend Hamid - a pampered only child of well to do Muslim parents- and Onkar - a typical poor kid who lives in the slum- are his two best friends in school. Ravi becomes the self anointed director as Hamid chips in as the producer and Onkar plays the heroine!
The film has got this typically whimsical character to it that compensates for the amateurish production values and extra large servings of melodrama towards the end. For most part though the film is a riot,
