Cast: Sunil, Isha Chawla, Ravi Babu, AliDirection: Devi PrasadGenre: ComedyDuration: 2 hours 18 minutes
Story: Buchi Babu (Sunil) is a US based fashion designer who comes back to Hyderabad looking for a suitable bride. He says yes to the first girl his parents show him - Anjali (Isha), a free spirited young lady who lives life on her terms. But she's in love with somebody else and Anjali says as much. Heartbroken, our man breaks off the engagement only to run into her at a friend's wedding weeks later.

Movie Review: You go to a Sunil movie hoping to get good laugh (burst out laughing actually), no disrespect to the rippling six-pack, funky dance moves, edgy hairstyle, designer clothes and the works. But this movie seems to be designed to showcase a much underplayed Sunil sans the humorous quirks. Is that a side of Sunil we want to see? We're not so sure. We have enough mass heroes as it is, don't we?

The movie lost it in the characterization. Being an official remake of the 2011 Bollywood rom-com, Tanu Weds Manu, it's hard not to compare it with the Madhavan - Kangna Ranaut starrer. What worked in the original (besides the great chemistry between the lead pair) was the believability in the characterization, rural north Indian milieu it was set in, the vocabulary, sensibility, disposition and perhaps even the target audience.

Madhavan looked like a London based doctor, Manu and Kangna looked even more like the erratic young lady, Tanu, with quirks aplenty.
