Cast: Sivaji, Ajay, Deepthi, Posani Krishna Murali, Chandu, Anith, Thagubothu RameshDirection: Enuganti ChinnaDuration: 2 hours 9 minutes
Story: Kanya Reddy (Ajay), the prime accused in several murder cases, keeps evading the law thanks to his politician brother, Bonku Bommareddy (Posani). Sharath (Sivaji) kidnaps Kanya Reddy to avenge his sister's murder, and thus begins a game of cat and mouse.
Movie Review: It's a reasonably well made revenge drama that's designed like-a-twist-a minute-heist film. It's just that the movie is perhaps about seven years too late. The production design indicates the movie is targeted to the B and C centers so the general aesthetics, we're afraid, just aren't up-market enough, though the movie does pack some smarts, err . . . "street-smarts!"
To start with there are very few pretty sights that the movie offers - there isn't even a heroine for glam relief. The intentions were right but the execution wasn't backed up by technical aptitude. So the end product leaves you with a "oh it could have been better feeling."
The movie begins with a kidnap scene and gradually reveals the real motives if the kidnappers. Sharath is the mastermind who comes up with an ingenious plan to avenge his beloved sister's brutal killing, after the police chose to turn a blind eye to his quest for justice. The filmmaker does a decent job of revealing the plan in bits, holding back just enough to keep you interested right up to the end.
