Vaalu Preview

Simbu aka STR is juggling between several projects in Tamil cinema and one among them is Vaalu, a commercial entertainer that aims at a Diwali release. Simbu, who is known for tapping in the best out of newbie directors, is working with a debutant in this film as well.
Helmed by debutant Vijay Chander, Vaalu sees Simbu and Hansika Motwani in the lead roles. Comic relief is by Simbu and Santhanam. Remember the duo brought the roofs down with their one liners in Vaanam? Vaalu is touted to beat that record when it comes to comedy.
Few of the scenes were shot at a Hyderabad railway station, T Nagar and Royapettah in Chennai and several other places in TN. There's also a scene canned at the Kamala Theatre in Chennai that showcases as if Simbu and Hansika are watching Ajith's Billa 2, Simbu's love for his idol, Thala, need not be explained upon.
When the first look teaser trailer of Vaalu was released it made several headlines as it took a direct dig at Dhanush, Simbu's then arch media rival, with Hansika quoting a dialogue from Dhanush's film. However all that was put to rest as both the actors buried the hatchet.
Vaalu also sees Jai and Telugu comedian Brahmanandam in special appearances.
Boasting off commercial elements, Vaalu, a commercial laugh riot loaded with romance, is all set to grace screens come Diwali.
