Review - Swamy Ra Ra (2013)

Nikhil, Praveen and Pooja are living the easy life, picking the pockets of people at crowded places. One day, while they are being chased, Nikhil steals a new vehicle to escape, the owner of the bike being Swathi! When Nikhil sees her, it is love at first sight for him! However, when Swathi catches him, he lies that he is a software engineer, and in another chase sequence, Swathi too reciprocates Nikhil's feelings. The Jogi Brothers are ruthless criminals, who value little about others' lives! By an accident, Swathi comes across a precious idol from the Trivandrum Padmanabha Swamy temple, and the trio of Nikhil, Praveen and Pooja decide to sell it, and become rich! Just as they go around trying to find a suitable buyer, they find out that there are a number of people trying to get their hands on that idol, and they would go to any means to achieve it!
Nikhil and Swathi perform their roles to perfection, but the rest of the characters just overshadow their performances! Sunny's background score needs a special mention! It is one of the movie's very few highlights! Director Sudheer Varma, who has also penned the dialogues, has put together a treasure seeking story, which gives you the feel that you already know what is going to happen! However, the final 20 minutes of the story, has been well shot, and the racy screenplay keeps the viewers rivetted to their seats!
