Synopsis: Kannan, an ambitious auto driver, saves Anjali from goons but the injured girl goes into coma. With the cook in Anjali's household, Appukutty, and her sister Sanjini, having their doubts, how long can he maintain the facade?
Review: A comedy on mistaken identities and impersonation isn't new in Tamil cinema and Summa Nachunu Irukku is content to repeat what we have seen earlier in our films. It rides on convenient coincidences, slapdash scenes and broad performances by actors who utter the lines in the hope that at least a few might tickle you. And, it is also shot with the aesthetics of a TV comedy show despite being set in Malaysia and featuring helicopters, a fleet of cars and a palatial mansion. This is so unlike Bollywood, which at least jazzes up its lowbrow films (think Rohit Shetty and David Dhawan's films) with opulent visuals and chic actors.
At least, Venkatesh knows how to keep things ticking even when they are mundane and contrives to have scenes which seem funny even when the execution is off the mark, and so you do not bother much. And, he seems to have taken a few pages of Sundar C's handbook; so,
