| |
· This position supports and defines the software architectures to support functional requirements and business needs as well as product reliability & flexibility.
· In this position as Software Architect you will be emphasizing 3 main areas of architectural engineering: (1) solution architecture, (2) implementation architecture, and (3) product architecture.
· The ideal candidate would have experience in design or service oriented software architectures for large scale, globally distributed systems. Must be intimately familiar with a variety of programming and software engineering methodologies (waterfall, iterative, unified, agile, etc.).
· The candidate must have expertise and significant hands-on experience in software design
Responsibilities
· Interfaces with Technology team members to gather, define and document software architecture requirements.
· Analyzes requirements expectations to develop reliable and flexible software architectures.
· Drives technical software design and implementation with a hands-on approach. Authors software architecture specifications and participates in the creation of detailed technical design documents.
· Proactively raises issues if specification will lead to quality, system performance, or architectural issues in product. Recommends action plan and communicates issues to management, architects and product managers.
· Participates in technical design reviews, functional specification reviews and peer reviews; contributes to development project estimates, scheduling, test plans, and code reviews.
· Coordinates closely with the engineering team to ensure thorough R&D and testing on relevant platforms as is appropriate for the particular task/project.
