Job Title: Senior Engineer / Engineer II
Position Focus: Main focus is the hardware design of DC/DC converters, DC/AC inverters for the hybrid vehicles. Responsible for generating product technical specifications and their implementation in the design. Responsible for maintaining required documentation.
Job Description
• Develop product technical specs.
• Develop the power plant topology that best meets the requirements in terms of efficiency and thermal performance
• Select appropriate micros, ASICs, power electronics components, magnetic, filters, etc
• Generate schematics for the design
• Provide support to mechanical engineering on mechanical design of housing, connectors, packaging etc.
• Generate HITS (Hardware Interface To Software) documentation for software Engineer to code
• DV testing.
• Plan agenda, track open items, ensure correct attendance, etc
• Performs special studies and analyses.
• Highly developed oral and written communications skills.
• Very high level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
• Handles a variety of recurring and non-recurring or special assignments.
• Actively identifies new areas for learning and takes advantage of learning opportunities.
Qualifications
Basic Required:
• BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent demonstrated capability and experience
• Minimum 3 to 6 years experience in the area of Power Electronics
• Experience in electronic component design and packaging
• Automotive industry experience a plus
• Ability to organize and plan effectively with others
• Knowledge of Corporate policy and procedures
• Demonstrated capability and professional skills in job-related area
• Must be a demonstrated team player
