| |
Hands on Oracle DBA experience in versions 8i, 9i, 10G
· Experience in working in a IBM AIX, SAN (EMC) environment
· Experience in setting up Oracle database security including row-level security
· Demonstrated ability to automate routine DBA tasks with shell scripting.
· Experience with UNIX shell scripting.
· Experience with backup (hot/cold) and recovery (using TSM)
· Advanced knowledge of Oracle DBA tasks (i.e. proactive monitoring, identifying areas that
need to be improved in the application or database).
· Experience with tuning OLTP and Warehouse databases including SQL and PL/SQL.
· Experience with Disaster Recovery Implementation (using Dataguard).
· Experience in Oracle replication (preferably snapshots/materialized views).
· Experience with Oracle standby, Data guard, OEM monitoring, Partitioning, PL/SQL,
RMAN.
· Experience with database cloning.
· Installation, configuration, and upgrade of Oracle servers/instances
· Responsible for 24x7 support of production databases.
· Must be flexible and have the ability to work independently.
· Experience with SQL tuning and Oracle database performance tuning.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
