Ideal Industry Experience: Pharmaceutical SKILLS 3 to 5 years of application development experience Excellent written/oral communications skills Ability to work independently or as a team member Application development experience with HTML, XML, XSLT, Unix, NT/W2K, Oracle, SQL, Java, EJB, JSP and JavaScript, CSS Rational tools experience a plus Must possess strong time management skills and be results oriented BEA WebLogic Portal 8.1 developer with at least 1 year of full time development experience - this is extremely important Expertise on page Flows and JSP's a must Some knowledge of HTML and JavaScript is necessary. Duties: Modifying existing and developing new modules in WebLogic Portal application according to functional specifications Will utilize BEA WebLogic Portal API's. Must be able to setup development environment on their workstation. Must Unit Test Code. Will work closely with Portlet Designer to complete portlet development and make sure that all pieces of the portlet (Front End, Middleware and Back End) work together. Responsible for translating functional to technical requirements, programming and development of applications. Design and develop interface components, data migration programs and custom reporting. Perform complex systems analysis and recommend technical solutions to assist in achieving project objectives. Develop accurate time estimates for the assigned tasks for their team, and provide a detailed work-breakdown structure for those tasks. Code features; perform unite and integration tests for complex application features. Support and troubleshoot production application issues and provide support as needed. This project is to provide critical enhancements to an existing web-based laboratory information management system.
