Description : |
| |
1). Logical and physical data base designs, implementation, and support.
2). Design and implement back-up, recovery, archiving and conversion strategies.
3). Responsible for database performance and tuning, capacity planning.
4). Responsible for installing, configuring, and supporting DB2 Connect and DB2/UDB runtime clients.
5). Identify innovative, cost effective ways to implement and support physical data bases technologies.
6). Develop staff to assure replacements are in place.
7). Provide or recommend required training programs for developing appropriate skills within data base technologies.
8). Perform administrative functions related to database support and project activities.
9). Establish activity/project timetables. Initiate activities and projects related to areas of responsibility.
10). Prepare and communicate status, issues, and opportunities to the business.
11). Provide 24x7 on-call support |
