| |
Description of Responsibilities:
This person will be responsible for the day-to-day support of Nestlé Purina's EDI Infrastructure. This includes setting up new customers, profiles, and data formats in the IBM Data Interchange package, supporting the COBOL2/DB2 bridge programs necessary to interface internal applications with outgoing and incoming EDI transactions, and support of the JCL necessary to run the appropriate EDI jobs on the IBM Mainframe. Knowledge of various protocols (HTTP, FTP, etc) and multi-platform (OS/390, HPUX, Windows) are a plus.
Description of Application:
This application uses the IBM Data Interchange package, in conjunction with COBOL2/DB2 bridge programs necessary to interface internal applications. Current infrastructure supports 40 plus transaction sets for over 300 trading partners. The application also uses the Cyclone Interchange Package for sending and receiving data (EDI, XML, binary) via EDIINT (EDI over the internet). Work will consist of problem resolution and minor enhancements to the EDI infrastructure. processing. We do not envision this candidate to spend much time using the EDI translator itself, but rather supporting the bridge programs and related processes.
