This individual must be comfortable interacting with both technical and business stakeholders on topics such as requirements definition, workflow and report development, and testing of application components. The ideal candidate would have been a lead technologist on at least 3 successful SOA implementations, preferably in retail/wholesale industries. This position requires a good understanding of the Service Oriented Architectures having performed a lead role in the establishment of an SOA environment and successful implementation of an application on SOA. This individual should have familiarity with portal development, application development using Java and Oracle, process orchestration, and enterprise service bus or EAI. Any formal SDLC experience will be beneficial in this role. They should be well aware of the best practices in these areas and be able to articulate and formalize and rationalize best practices into enforceable standards. This individual should be expert in decoupling service components and have good understanding of setting component granularity. Successful candidates will have strong Object Oriented design and Java development skills using XPDL, BPEL, UML, Servlets, SOAP, WSDL, JSPs, JDBC, SQL, JNDI, XML, HTML and J2EE best practices, design principles, and techniques.
