Requires a mid-level DBA. The job is a mix of an Administrator (maintaining the Oracle environment) role and a programming role. A great deal of the logic of the applications are in the Oracle Stored Procedures, and therefore requires a person who can maintain/create new/enhance the code. Client believes that their environment is not very complicated. Have the right chemistry to work in Client (since this is a long term position). This is a one-person team, and so the person will be the single point of contact for all of the Oracle DBA requirements. This is a long-term position (atleast 2 years)
Oracle 9i and 10g experience required;
Oracle ON WINDOWS experience required;
Experience working independently required;
MS-DOS Shell scripting required.
Perl would be a plus
Experience using PL/SQL Developer (a 3rd party tool), Oracle Enterprise Manager and/or TOAD tools;
PL/SQL Programming (including procedures) required;
Ability to communicate with other systems personnel and end-users is required;
Have Analysis skills (not just be a technologist
