| |
Job Duties and Description: Responsible for the organization’s technical architecture, including development, execution, operations, data, security, and network architectures. Responsible for understanding all of the infrastructure, hardware, systems software, networking products, and protocols. Working individually and assisting senior members of the group, ensures that all components work together, ensuring that the technical architecture design meets the technical objectives and requirements. Assists with definition, acquisition or development, installation, and maintenance of technical services/solutions needed by the applications. Converts quality requirements into the technical architecture design. Participates in the reuse of components for the technical architecture, avoiding duplication of effort.
Defines tools, support services, procedures, and controls to ensure the availability of applications. Assists with the architecting of application framework design, using and extending the services of the technical architecture appropriately. Defines technical services needed by the applications that are unique to the client. Mentors the applications team in design and development activities. Ensures that the applications are designed for performance. Conducts design and code reviews to ensure adherence to performance guidelines. Provides suggestions for ways to restructure designs to achieve better performance. Has knowledge of current performance monitoring tools and utilities. Helps architect the business object model and the business component model, defining core reusable assets that support the long-term strategic business. Looks for reuse opportunities, abstractions, and patterns across classes and components. Mentors the applications team in successful object-oriented design and modeling of business solutions. Advances the team’s understanding of object technology.
Experience with multi-system/platform program integration.
