| |
Microsoft SQL 2000/2005 experience required. * Experience using database monitoring tools. * Strong SQL skills. Ability to code and recompile packages and code functions and procedures preferred. Experience in tuning SQL code. * Expertise in backup/recovery/fail-over methods and best practices. * Experience with Legato backup methods. * Clear understanding of RDBMS fundamentals. * Additional skills in DB2 UDB and Oracle and UNIX nice to have. * Experience in scripting languages, Perl, etc. * Ability to write clear documentation of operating procedures, and ability to write specifications for applications to be developed. * Exceptional communication, problem solving, and teamwork skills. * Extremely detail-oriented and able to follow clear methodologies for troubleshooting and development. * Ability to support and work within standard software development life cycle practices. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline. * Minimum 3 years experience with verifiable skills on two or more of the following software: MS SQL, Oracle, SQL, and DB2 - certifications in recent releases preferred. * Exceptional problem solving skills. * Strong communication skills. * Scripting languages and basic knowledge of NT and UNIX operating systems. * Banking or financial reporting experience helpful. Comments: Windows 2003, SQL Server, Legato Candidates must have a strong command of the English language (written & verbal)
