Client had a consultant come in to write Oracle Reports using
Oracle Discoverer for the business. Business side kept escalating scope and
range and is became beyond the consultants scope plus there was no
understanding or planning for the BIG PICTURE. Kept making reports, hard
coding, limiting… so now they have substantial tables and infrastructure
which cannot grow or be managed. They want a fairly senior architect person
to come in, assess situation (are the tables correct, what can we salvage,
what needs to be redone , should we thro the entire process out and
re-develop and redeploy…) and recommend and create a new solution. The
current report flow cannot be interrupted as it is being used for business.
