| |
The primary responsibility will be to develop, test and implement automated and recurring data loads from various source systems into an existing SQL Server 2000 database.
Depending on the banking experience of the potential candidate (preferred but not required skill), this may or may not involve researching bank systems which are external to our department and mapping the source system tables and fields to our SQL Server database.
For example, we would like to add account data from our Installment Loan department to our database.
This means that we will need to request access to their system, analyze their available data and determine which tables and fields we would like to pull into our own database.
Once that has been accomplished, we will need to create a data load using DTS to pull the data from their system into our staging database on a recurring basis.
From our staging database, we then need to cleanse the data, get surrogate key details and create a migration script to populate our production database using stored procedures, user defined functions, etc..
We will also need to optimize and performance tune each of these new ETL process so the potential candidate should have experience in this area as well.
Additionally, we are in the process of upgrading our servers to SQL Server 2005 so it is possible that this person would start out using SQL Server 2000 but then be required to quickly port over to SQL Server 2005.
