This candidate MUST be able to perform all aspects of Oracle database administration and maintenance for Oracle 9i and Oracle 10g, as well as thoroughly understand RMAN backup and restore configurations.
This person will need to have solid UNIX experience (Sun Solaris. Experience with and understanding of Clustering Architectures, preferably VERITAS Cluster Server.
The candidate should understand UNIX scripts and be excellent at performance tuning and troubleshooting database related problems.
Previous experience in migrating databases from one data center to another is highly preferred.
This is a "systems" DBA position, not an applications DBA or developer DBA position.
Duties:
The Senior Database Administrator is responsible for migration and/or upgrading Oracle 9i to 10g.
Configuration and implementation of new databases, monitoring and maintaining existing databases, resolving complex database issues, problem determinations, optimizing performance, and implementing protocols for disaster recovery and security

*Minimum of five (5) years of proven UNIX shell scripting.
*Minimum of three (3) years of 10G RAC on VERITAS or ASM running Solaris |
