| |
Experience working with Data Warehouses, Oracle RAC, Oracle Advanced Queues, and MS Active Directory and miscellaneous other 3rd party software products as interface with database is desired. Candidate will have the following responsibilities: - Disaster recovery planning, design and implement redundant systems, policies, and procedures for data archiving. - Database monitoring and query tuning, respond to and resolve database access and performance issues. - Ensure the stability and reliability of data access and data quality. - Analyze user requirements for reports, forms, queries and data extraction, transformation and load. Work with 3rd Party Software reporting tool to analyze and benchmark query performance. - Provide end-user training as necessary with regards to the effective and efficient use of database tools and resources. - Develop long-term goals for production databases in conjunction with data owners and department managers. - Advise on the allocation of physical data storage for database systems. - Perform database transaction and security audits. - Perform on-call responsibilities. Desired Skills: Plans and coordinates the administration of relational database management systems to ensure accurate, appropriate, and effective use of data, including database definition, structure, documentation, long-range requirements, and operational guidelines. Performs quality control audits to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper usage of data in tables and various support tools, such as database dictionaries. Reviews database design and integration of systems, including client/servers, mainframes, etc., and makes recommendations regarding enhancements and/or improvements. May establish and maintain security and integrity controls. Provides appropriate consulting, interfacing, and standards relating to database management, and monitors transaction activity and utilization. Prepares and/or reviews activity, progress, and performance reports |
