The Employment Security Commission (ESC) is seeking a short term (6 months maximum) contractor for the following:
ESC requires the assistance of experienced web developers who will assist in the testing, implementation, and post implementation transition of the NC Job Connector application. Selected individual will assist in correcting errors identified during system/application testing and developing solutions for this web application which is being developed under project id ‘ESC0503’ North Carolina Job Connector based on requirements, compliance with NCESC standards for n-tier application design and effective utilization of the Windows .net framework.
Additionally, selected individual will provide support as required in the Microsoft .NETv2.0 environment, modify code modules for the presentation, business rule and data access layers, and assist in application system testing and defect correction. The proposed candidates must have a thorough knowledge of the processes and concepts involved in n-tier and object oriented application design and development. Deliverables will include documented and debugged code which conforms to departmental coding standards and performs according to system requirements and performance expectations |

Minimum of 2 years of experience in design of n-tier applications with Visual Studio.NET
- Minimum of 5 years of solid web application development experience with the following - N-Tier applications using IIS/MTS, ASP.NET, VB.NET, ADO.NET, HTML, JavaScript, MQ Series and web services
- Candidate must demonstrate experience in development of web application using n-tier architecture in a Windows .net environment
- Experience working with relational databases Oracle 10g and MSSQL, including writing SQL queries and developing stored procedures
Preferred:
- Experience in developing business services objects
- Experience with both Oracle and SQL Server |
