| |
Position Description: * Conduct database system development with MS SQL Server and Informatica PowerCenter. Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and maintaining a database system; establishing policies and procedures for the management, security, maintenance, and use of a database system. * Engage in on-going maintenance of a dimensional data warehouse using established technical practices for managing system errors, data load procedures, data error handling and data integrity. * Work under the direction of a project manager and technology lead within a multi-member project team, working under specific deadlines, functioning independently to complete quality work on-time and within professional expectations. Required Professional Experience: * 6 years experience conducting data base development maintaining a database environment. Experience includes conducting ETL development, creating views, data load procedures, database system configuration, security set-up, code releases and establishing technical procedures to maintain data integrity. * 2+ years development experience with dimensional data bases. * Use of SQL Server 2005, SQL, and .NET technologies developing and maintaining data bases. * Practical understanding of data base construction, data modeling, Metadata, data integrity management, ETL, and error handling using stored procedures, views, and complex query construction using SQL. * Practical knowledge of common software development methodology * Informatica PowerCenter work experience * Experience with the following: taking supervisory direction, completing quality technical work under tight deadlines, complementing a development team with a positive contribution toward completing team and project objectives. |
