Description : |
| |
With General Guidance and Coaching, identify the components required for a technical test of the impacted systems (i.e. JCL, schedule, capacity, job stream, space requirements, operational dependencies, etc.)
Consult with the functional test team and development teams regarding the creation of data conditions, test scenarios, test cases and sequences of testing events specifically addressing a technical test of the impacted systems.
Acts as a project team member, providing expertise on the technical needs of the technical area.
Creates technical test plans, scenarios, test cases, and test data
Responsible and accountable for driving the test plan through the QR process.
Responsible and accountable for the execution of the approved test plan.
Required to document all test results in the Rational tool within the agreed upon time-frames outlined by the project workplan.
Provide pro-active consultation on the test plans and test schedule to optimize the overall testing effort.
Role will require support on weekends and after core business hours. 6+ years supporting a major application in a large corporate environment |

+ years experience performing and executing Tests under a formal IT QA methodology.
4+ years experience in a mainframe or distributed environment.
2+ years experience with systems or operational area.
Demonstrated experience using industry standard testing tools for mainframe and distributed environments.
Demonstrated ability to perform triage functions for identified defects.
Direct experience using IBM – Rational tool set.
Ability to understand requirements and impacts of requirements on existing technical system components
