| |
The job will entail receiving, processing, loading into Oracle and QC of data in Oracle from 2 sources at regular intervals.
Each time a fresh batch of data comes in the following tasks need to be accomplished he data will be initially processed (as per defined business rules) and loaded as SAS data sets on a Unix box.
The SAS processed data will processed/loaded into Oracle using Informatica as the ETL (Extract Transform and Load) tool.
Finally the data in Oracle has to be QCd and validated.
Supporting queries and help database access in general will also be a part of the ongoing queries.
This might involve developing macros to help users access data.
In the medium term we might also opt to access the data using ROLAP and OLAP tools from vendors such as Cognos.
The work requires expertise in SAS programming, Unix, Oracle and hands on experience with using Informatica (to load data to Oracle).
Data Warehousing, Data Modeling in context, and experience with big volume data processing and medical coding schemas such as ICD9, Read Codes, NDC codes etc. is desirable.
