This individual should have over 5 years experience with Solaris administration and know VERITAS volume manager and VERITAS clustering software extremely well.
SAP knowledge or familiarity is a big plus.
Complete Description:
UNIX Engineers are responsible for the architecture implementation and management lifecycle of the UNIX / Linux operating systems, management of file and application services. Engineers will complete documentation for quality, standard operating procedures, standards, disaster recovery, work instructions and proposals. Tasks will include management and monitoring of existing infrastructure; system load and other reporting metrics; growth management; resource forecasting; cost analysis and quoting. Other technical tasks will include management of stand alone and clustered servers, server provisioning, file system management, management of the documentation and installation procedures for server builds |
