RESPONSIBLITIES SUMMARY:
As a .NET Application Developer you will provide programming expertise for the purpose of converting existing nightly batch processes to Web service-based architecture providing real-time or near real-time access to client information. The primary responsibility of this position is to maintain and verify business rules during coding, and to provide software integration components (according to the Web service provider specifications). Business logic, where possible, will be stored in Oracle stored procedures and views. Good design and development skills and the ability to work with business users are paramount for this role. The ideal candidate will instill SDLC best practices, create the environments to ensure a full lifecycle, and develop and enforce change management policy.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
• The person in this position will work closely with project technical lead to ensure the software they produce meets a high standard for quality.
• Programmer must also work to fix all bugs reported during development in a timely manner and maintain current workload.
• The programmer should work with their supervisor to ensure that the program being developed meets the requirements of the application.
• Develop applications according to specified parameters using advanced next generation proprietary application development framework (.Net-based).
• Fix reported bugs and apply enhancements
• It may also be necessary for the programmer to develop detailed specifications and/or technical documentation before and after developing applications.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
• Strong PL/SQL skills and familiarity with Oracle utilities, Stored Procedures and Functions
• Ability to work independently on select tasks and integrate into a larger development group.
• Good communication skills with technical and business groups in solidifying business requirements, data flows, application specifications
