Lead Cognos Developer that has training and experience using Cognos ver 8. Version 8 and ver. 7 are completely different products and candidates with extensive experience on 7 will not be accepted.
This resource will be the lead with migrating existing Crystal Reports, develop new reports in Cognos 8. The candidate must have experience in generating reports from various database platforms including Essbase, Sql Server, Oracle.
Cognos 8 is SOA / Java based so Web Services experience is a big plus. All other skills are mandatory

Experience in Analysis with Cognos 8 business intelligence ( drill-down, slice-and-dice, ranking and sorting )
Experience in Cognos 8 Architecture
Experience in
Sophisticated control over layout and formatting, filters and
sorting, charts and calculations.
• Queries run against multiple relational and analytical data
sources for display in a single report.
• Dimensionally aware report authoring with automatic
