| |
The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is seeking a short term (6 month maximum) contractor. The selected candidate will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Provide oversight for a formal project that establishes a set of tasks and activities associated with an intended outcome and timeline.
- Develop configurations for Firewalls and Switches
- Test configurations
- Implementation
- Re-IP address various LAN devices (servers, printers, switches, firewalls)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements.
Required:
Minimum of 5 years experience in the following areas:
- Cisco PIX 500 series equipment: Configuring and troubleshooting
- Cisco 2000, 3000, 4000, and 5000 series switches: Configuring and troubleshooting
- Cisco CatOS and Cisco IOS
- Ability to establish courses of action for self and others to ensure that work is completed efficiently
- Experience in large scale project implementation
- Ability to direct the work of others with some latitude on actions and decisions
- Configure Windows 2000, Windows 2003, Netware 6.x, and Windows XP networking components
- Knowledge of HP, Lexmark, and other network printers and print servers
- High Level Understanding of IP protocols and addressing
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral
- Ability to work with clients to test applications after IP addressing has been completed
- Must be able to work 1st and 2nd shift hours on a rotating basis as needed. Primary work hours will be 1st shift.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with working on large IT projects and working as a team player
- Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve Network Infrastructure problems |
