| |
The Director of QA is responsible for developing and managing overall QA strategies for the development and deployment of new software products.
Responsibilities:
o Plan, develop and implement strategy for proper testing of software.
o Manage and develop direct reporting staff.
o Provides technical leadership and mentoring to QA team.
o Develops and implements methods for improving functional testing.
o Develops, implements, and enforces operating procedures and controls for the QA department.
o Responsible for tracking and controlling status of all QA department testing activities.
o Responsible for planning of all functional testing activities, including providing testing effort estimates.
o Liaise with other functional/departmental leaders so as to understand all necessary aspects and needs of QA, and to ensure they are fully informed of objectives, purposes and achievements.
o Maintain awareness and knowledge of quality assurance trends and provide suitable interpretation to executives, directors, managers and staff within the organization.
o Ensure activities meet with and integrate with organizational requirements for quality management.
