OVERVIEW:
For this position, with one of the worlds largest software companies,
you will be providing systems analysis support to a team building
business intelligence, data warehouse, and reporting solutions for a
worldwide services organization.
Your responsibilities will include:
Working with business representatives to define requirements
Developing functional designs and specifications for data
warehouse and business intelligence solutions
Assisting with the construction of data marts for revenue,
P&L and services business management reports
Designing cubes and documentation of business requirements
Analyzing complex designs, researching alternative
approaches, and performing cost/benefit/risk analysis
Consulting with other systems analyst
Ensuring the appropriate implementation of methodology
Delegating project assignments to various resources
Assisting with the prioritization of development requests
Defining and documenting all data mapping and transformation
processes
REQUIREMENTS:
3+ years experience as a business systems analyst, with an
emphasis on Business Intelligence (BI) solutions
Solid skills with data warehouse design
Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server tools (T-SQL,
Reporting Services, Analysis Services, OLAP cubes, etc.)
Experience with the design of moderately complex logical
databases schemas
In-depth knowledge of software development processes
Understanding of data modeling tools and techniques
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Keen attention to detail
BS in CS or related field preferred
Experience with SQL Server 2005 a plus
