| |
The Department of Revenue is seeking a short term (6 month maximum) contractor to perform project management planning and coordinating activities associated with several technologies for multiple projects.
PM services may consist of multiple technology disciplines (i.e., hardware, software, network infrastructure, etc.). Work at this level includes the responsibility for identifying, understanding and managing the business impact of projects on current business endeavors and existing technical infrastructure to ensure success.
The contractor must develop specific objectives and milestones for the tasks and activities and ensure they are accomplished within agreed upon time frames. Contractor will have overall responsibility to report the status of the work of others involved in the activities, monitoring team activities to assure the best use of time and resources to meet the customer defined requirements and deliverables.
These activities are operational in nature and include Network Segmentation, Hardware Encryption Deployment, Server Replacement, and Win 2K to 2003 Microsoft Server Conversion.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements.
Required:
* Extensive knowledge of project management techniques.
* Experience managing a broad variety of IT projects/teams in a cross functional environment
* Experience writing, analyzing and interpreting technical requirements
* Broad working knowledge of key IT areas and user environments.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Experience in setting and managing customer expectations.
* Proven strategic thinking, planning and analytical capabilities.
* Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and meet project and resource deadlines.
