This professional is a seasoned individual producer who applies an advanced, in-depth knowledge of technical concepts, practices and procedures in assisting in the development efforts for a web-based software application. Incumbents will act as a member of quick-response user-support team and will often work under demanding deadlines, operating independently to resolve complex end-user problems. Errors will likely cause delay, expense and/or disruption to the end-user and client. May act as a functional/team leader.
REPRESENTATIVE PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties require a variety of strong computing, data communication and telecommunication skills, strong familiarity with development of web-based software applications.
Tests and evaluates web-based software during User Acceptance Testing, using various types of business analysis.
Develops test plans and creates or modifies technical specifications to send to engineers for development.
Assists team members in identifying and resolving complex data and software problems.
Responsibilities may encompass: hardware and software technical support analysis, general end-user support and training, data security analysis, office automation, production control analysis, and technical library support. Coordinate and evaluate the requests of users for new or modified application programs. Determine the feasibility, compatibility with existing programs and computer capabilities, and cost and time requirements for the requests of users for new or modified application programs. Provide application design and development support.
