Role is to provide day to day production support and maintenance as well as the conversion from SQL 2000 to SQL 2005.
Technical Environment: There are multiple databases in this environment. There are more than 30 SQL server databases; this is an 80% SQL DB environment and 20% Oracle.
Job Description: Involved in research design, develop, and test operating systems-level software. The SQL DBA will be responsible for day-to-day support/operations/maintenance/tuning. SQL 2000 and SQL 2005 experience is required. The candidate will be involved in the conversion from SQL 2000 to 2005. They will be reporting into the DBA manager and working with 2 other DBAs on the team. Production Support experience in required
Pluses: Sybase and Oracle 10g, any design knowledge would be preferred, as well as knowledge of the DB tool DBArtisan. |
