Description : |
| |
Candidate will have the following responsibilities:
Manage the entire release process, working closely with QA, Project Management, Engineering and Technical Operations teams.
Identify release risks and issues, and work to resolve or escalate.
Create and maintain detailed release plans and release procedures.
Facilitate release meetings.
Communicate schedules and status of all releases.
Maintain auditable documentation and sign-offs for all projects and items for release.
Manage deployments to and configurations of QA and pre-production environments.
Drive process improvements throughout the entire project cycle and release process, encouraging standardization, consistency, repeatability, and predictability.
Identify and exploit opportunities for automation, simplification, and smart use of tools.
Candidate must have the following skills and experience:
Release management experience in a complex, commercial, distributed environment.
Strong project management skills and excellent interpersonal skills, along with a demonstrated ability to balance priorities and simultaneous projects.
Experience managing multiple environments to support parallel development and test efforts.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to interact well with both technical and non-technical personnel.
Proficient UNIX user, preferably Solaris.
Experience with Weblogic Application Server and Weblogic Portal
Facility with scripting languages.
Experience with SCM tools, preferably CVS
Experience with build tools such as Ant
Experience with Oracle RDBMS
Experience with iPlanet web server
Experience in apps development using Jave/J2EE
3 – 5 years of continuous experience in this area.
