Description : |
| |
Primary Responsibilities
o Translate user requirements and high-level design into ETL code for extracting data from complex relational database tables, data conversion/transformation and loading into specific formats.
o Develop custom data transformation processes to provide appropriate data in the defined format.
o Perform technical walk-through as needed to communicate design/coded solution and to seek input from team members.
o Develop unit test plans
o Perform Unit and integration test of ETL code
Education & Experience
o Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent work experience. 3+ years of experience
o 3-5 years Software development experience
o 3-5 years hands on experience with Informatica
Required Skills
o Ability to work independently within a quickly changing environment.
o Proficient with data modeling tools and manual data mapping
o Must be able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, define problems, and develop a means or method to resolve them.
o Strong attention to detail with proven verbal and written communication skills.
o Experience in the following technologies:
** Informatica PowerCenter
** Demonstrated experience building Informatica Mappings
** Demonstrated experience ETL development using Informatica
** XML knowledge (usage, parsing, creation)
** UNIX environments knowledge, including shell scripting
o Must possess a general knowledge of ETL systems, platforms, etc., responsibilities include creating data feeds from various sources |
