| |
Reporting to the Manager of Applications Development for Retail Applications, this position is responsible, but not limited to, project planning, design, development, documenting, performing quality assurance and production support on software applications and interfaces in a Retail environment.
Responsibilities: Major Responsibilities and/or Essential Functions*
** Performs functional/technical research and analysis on current software applications or interfaces.
** Performs functional/technical research and analysis for the development of new software applications or the implementation of vendor supplied applications.
** May act as team leader for small to medium scale software development projects.
** Leads and/or participates in discussion on software solutions with team members and business users.
** Creates functional and technical design specifications.
** Develops, tests, implements and supports software solutions.
** Presents design, analysis and problem solutions to peers and management.
** Follows formal established project development methodology and completes deliverables according to project plans.
Qualifications: Skills & Experience:
Required
** Excellent analytical skills.
** Excellent oral and written communication skills.
** Oracle PL/SQL development.
** Clearly understands Oracle 9i architecture and database platform. Able to conduct SQL performance tuning.
** Oracle Development (9i Forms/Reports).
** Proficiency in Oracle 10g Application Server environment.
** Unix shell scripting (Korn shell).
** Excellent inter-personal skills.
** Experience in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and project management tools (MS-Project, Visio).
