| |
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills at all management levels
* Prior marketing experience is a strong plus
* Global communications experience is a strong plus
* Strong writing and editing skills, including the use of correct grammar, the ability to gain an understanding of technical material and translate it using simple concepts and language for non-technical users.
* Writing skills must be fast and accurate
* Must have highly developed organizational skills
* Ability to prioritize a workload comprised of several small projects and the capability to accommodate emergency communication needs as appropriate
* Willingness to add value by participating in meetings surrounding communications needs, communications plans, and related processes
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
* Ability to work independently and as an integral member of a team
Education
* Bachelors degree in Communications, or related discipline.
* Masters degree a plus
Preferred Experience:
* Three to five years of demonstrated corporate communication experience, during which more than one of the following occurred:
- Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking with strong abilities in relationship management
- Demonstrated competency in global communication management
- Successfully developed and implemented new work processes or process improvements
- Demonstrated problem solving and organizational skills
- Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communications skills, as well as ability to present and explain technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding
- Demonstrated personal characteristics of self-motivation and initiative
* Strong customer focus and ability to manage stakeholders expectations
* Strong leadership, interpersonal, influencing, communication and negotiation skills.
