| |
The position requires expert knowledge of RDBMS administration jobs including installing, upgrading, configuring, monitoring and tuning Oracle server software and related products, backup and recovery policies and procedures, database design and implementation, database security implementation and maintenance (creating and maintaining users, roles, and privileges), database tuning and performance monitoring, application tuning and performance monitoring.
Oracle DBA experience within version 10g in a LINUX/UNIX Sun Solaris environment is required. The candidate should possess current, hands-on experience with RDBMS (Oracle) Administration on any of the following flavors of UNIX: SUN Solaris 8, 9, 10; HP-UX 11.0, 11i, 11i v.23 or Linux (RedHat). Experience with UNIX systems administration involving RDBMS (Oracle) including shell scripting (ksh, sh, csh, or bash), monitoring distributed UNIX based RDBMS (Oracle) databases, tuning of the UNIX O/S as it applies to the RDBMS, researching and deploying patches related to the RDBMS. Generic experience in providing technical support for UNIX platforms and RDBMS (Oracle) databases is required |
